00:00:00,300 --> 00:00:01,866
Here's how to plan an epic

2
00:00:01,866 --> 00:00:03,612
on the timeline in Jira.

3
00:00:04,062 --> 00:00:06,861
On the Timeline tab, use + Create

4
00:00:06,861 --> 00:00:09,078
to add a work item.

00:00:09,728 --> 00:00:11,135
Enter the epic name,

6
00:00:11,135 --> 00:00:12,992
then save it with Create.

7
00:00:13,642 --> 00:00:15,614
With the new epic now listed

8
00:00:15,614 --> 00:00:18,033
on the timeline, open Backlog so you

9
00:00:18,033 --> 00:00:21,106
can connect existing backlog items to it.

10
00:00:21,806 --> 00:00:23,330
The Backlog view opens

11
00:00:23,330 --> 00:00:25,862
and the work items list appears.

12
00:00:27,447 --> 00:00:29,294

14
00:00:32,308 --> 00:00:34,965
and open its + Epic field to assign

15
00:00:34,965 --> 00:00:37,359
that work item to an epic.

16
00:00:38,009 --> 00:00:41,370
Choose BRW-13 Usage dashboard

17
00:00:41,370 --> 00:00:43,817
from the list.

18
00:00:44,517 --> 00:00:47,055
The Usage dashboard epic label appears

19
00:00:47,055 --> 00:00:49,077
on several backlog items.

20
00:00:50,200 --> 00:00:51,891
