Need a quick way to turn a new product into a shareable checkout page in Stripe?

This how-to video walks through the full setup for a first payment link, step by step.

It starts with the foundation: creating a product and adding a recurring price. You’ll see where to open the Product catalogue, how to name the product, set the billing amount, and add it.

From there, the video shows how to create the payment link itself: open the create menu, choose Payment link, select the product you just made, and generate the link.

It also highlights what each part does. The product name and description appear at checkout, while the recurring price controls how often customers are billed.

By the end, you’ll see the checkout preview your customers would use to subscribe—and where to test the flow in a Stripe sandbox.

If you’re setting up Stripe for the first time, this is a clear place to start. Watch the video to see the full process. #Stripe #Payments #HowTo

How to create a payment link in Stripe

A simple walkthrough for first-time Stripe users

If you’re getting started with Stripe and want to create a payment link, this video breaks the process into a few clear steps.

The walkthrough begins with the basics: in Stripe, taking payments for a plan starts with a product and a price. That setup becomes the foundation for the payment link your customers will use.

Start with a product and recurring price

The first part of the video shows how to open the Product catalogue and click Create product. From there, you’ll add the key details for the item you want to sell.

You’ll see how to:

  • Give the product a name
  • Set a recurring amount
  • Click Add product to save it

The video also explains what these fields do. The product name and description are what customers will see at checkout, while the recurring pricing determines how often they’re billed.

Create the payment link

Once the product is in place, the next step is building the link itself.

The video shows how to open the create menu, choose Payment link, select the product you just created, and click Create link. This turns your product setup into a shareable checkout page.

Preview the checkout experience

After the link is created, Stripe shows a preview of the checkout page your customers will see. In this example, the page is ready for a customer to subscribe using the recurring price you set earlier.

That preview is useful for checking that the product details and billing setup appear the way you expect before sharing the link.

Try it in a sandbox

The final scene points viewers to a Stripe sandbox to test the flow and create a first payment link in a safe environment.

If you want a quick, practical introduction to this part of Stripe, watch the video and follow the steps to create your own payment link.
