TurtleScene vs Loom
They do different jobs. Loom is for quick video messages to teammates and customers, at scale, with Jira and Confluence built in. TurtleScene is for the finished launch material: a narrated Studio-style video, a clickable demo, cuts, a help article and translations from one recording.
Loom is a screen and camera recorder for async video messages; its homepage invites you to "record and share AI-powered video messages with your teammates and customers". You record with a Chrome extension, desktop or mobile app, share a link, and viewers react, comment and read transcripts and captions in 50+ languages. Loom AI adds titles, summaries, chapters and filler-word and silence removal, and can turn a walkthrough into a Jira work item.[1][2]
TurtleScene is a release-day demo kit. You record a flow once in the browser (no extension) or upload a video, and instead of your own voice and camera it makes a scripted, AI-narrated Studio-style video and a clickable demo from the recording, then the 9:16 and 1:1 cuts, a highlight, GIF, thumbnail, captions, a help article and translated versions.
What each makes, and where.
Every Loom fact links to the page it came from. "n/s" means their public pages don't say; it doesn't mean no.
An honest split
- You need quick video messages with your face and voice: updates, feedback, bug reports, replies to customers.
- Your team lives in Jira, Confluence and Slack and wants video inside them, with comments and reactions.
- You want the whole company recording (unlimited members on Business), with SSO and SCIM on Enterprise.
- The video is launch material, not a message: scripted narration, your brand canvas, zoom and spotlight, long waits cut.
- You want a clickable demo prospects can try, made from the same recording as the video.
- You need the 9:16 and 1:1 cuts, a highlight, a GIF, a help article and translated versions with each release.
- You'd rather pay in rupees (₹2,499 a month and up, plus GST).

Is TurtleScene a Loom alternative?
Not for video messages. Loom is built for quick, personal videos with your face and voice. TurtleScene is for the finished material around a release: an AI-narrated product video in a branded style, a clickable demo and the launch formats. Many teams would use both.
Can I turn a Loom into a TurtleScene demo?
Yes. Download the Loom as an MP4 (downloads are on Loom's Business plan) and upload it. TurtleScene detects the clicks, writes the narration and makes the video, the clickable demo and the formats from it.
How did you check Loom's features?
From Loom's own homepage and pricing page, read on 29 September 2026 and listed under Sources. Prices and plan limits are copied from the wording on its pricing page. Where those pages don't say, the table says "not stated" rather than guessing. Tell us if something has changed and we'll update the page.
How is TurtleScene priced?
Per workspace, not per seat: Free, then Starter $29, Studio $79 and Team $199 a month, each with a monthly number of recordings and every format included. Viewers are free.
