Use cases/Localisation

Your customers work in their own language. Your demos only speak English.

Translate a finished demo into any of 14 languages. The text we add on screen gets translated, along with a video's narration and a narrated video's captions; the recorded UI stays as recorded. Translations need Starter and up, and each version uses a credit.

narrated-video.mp41:52

The English original, from one recording of turtlecanvas, one of our own products. A translated version keeps these screens and replaces the voice, captions and step cards.

01The problem

Translating a video means making it again.

A localised video needs a new voiceover, new captions and new on-screen text, timed to a script that runs longer in German and shorter in Japanese. Multiply that by every language and every release, and most teams translate the launch video once and nothing after it.

Option A
Voice talent and an editor per language

Natural and accurate. Each language is its own project with its own schedule and invoice, so only the biggest launches get it.

Weeks and a budget per language
Option B
Translated subtitles on the English video

Quick and cheap, but viewers read captions while an English voice talks over them, and the step cards and on-screen text stay in English.

Half-translated
The third way
Translate the demo, not the product

Pick a language and TurtleScene translates the script, re-voices it with the same AI voice, re-times the pauses and renders a new video. The clickable demo's text is translated too.

  • Narration, re-voiced in the new language
  • A caption file for each language
  • Step cards, intro and outro text
  • Clickable demo tooltips, chapters, buttons and lead form labels

Text inside your app's own screens keeps its original language. To show a localised UI, record the flow with your product set to that language.

02Real output

What each language version is made from

No translated sample is published yet, so these are the English originals from one turtlecanvas recording. A translated version replaces their voice and the text TurtleScene added.

03How it works

From one recording to shipped

  1. 01
    Finish the original

Edit the script, steps, cuts and cards, then render. A translation is made from the video as it stands, so finishing first means each language is done once.

  2. 02
    Add languages

In the Formats tab, under Languages, choose one and click Translate. Start as many as you need; each runs on our servers and uses one AI recording (Starter plan and up).

  3. 03
    Watch each version

Pauses are worked out again per language, so a line that runs longer in German gets a longer hold before its click. When a row shows Ready, watch it in the editor.

  4. 04
    Send each market its version

Download the MP4 and SRT for each language. For the clickable demo, add ?lang=es, or another language code, to the share link or embed.

14 languages, voiced and captioned

Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Indonesian, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified) and Arabic, each read by the same AI voice as the original.

The clickable demo, per language

Tooltips, step titles, chapters, the end call to action and lead form labels are translated in one pass. Viewers get a language through ?lang= on the share link or embed. There's no language menu, so send each audience its own link.

  • Leads arrive under your original field labels, whatever language the viewer read
  • Lead forms themselves need Studio and up

Story videos too

An animated story is translated scene by scene: the narration and the text on every scene, re-voiced and rendered as a new video with the same Motion or Still scenes setting.

Captions timed to the new voice

Each language's caption file follows its own narration, not the English timings, because every version is voiced and rendered separately.

The raw turtlecanvas recording: the UI exactly as it was captured. Every language version reuses these screens unchanged. Only what TurtleScene adds on top is translated.

FAQ

Localisation: questions

Something else? Email contact@turtletechsai.com or book a working session.

Is our product's own UI translated?

No. The text we add on screen, a video's narration and a narrated video's captions get translated; the recorded UI stays as recorded. If you need the UI in another language too, record the flow with your product switched to that language.

What does each language cost?

Each language version uses one AI recording from your monthly allowance, the same as a new recording, because it's re-voiced and re-rendered. Translations need Starter ($29 a month) or above. A failed translation gives its credit back; redoing a language uses another.

How do we share a translated video?

Download its MP4 and SRT from the language's row in the Formats tab and upload them where that market watches. The video's share link always plays the original. Download links for translated versions last about seven days; reopen the tab for fresh ones.

Are the social cuts and help article translated?

No. Translations cover narrated videos with their captions and cards, story videos and clickable demos. The cuts, highlight, GIF and help article are made in the original language.

Who checks the translation?

The translation is done by AI, so have someone who speaks the language watch each version before it goes out. To change a version, edit the original and redo that language.
