Plans, credits & limits

TurtleScene is priced per recording, not per minute or per viewer. Every plan makes every output and format; plans differ in how many AI recordings you get a month, how long each can be, how many people can create, and a few features. This page explains the numbers and exactly what counts.

4K exports are for clickable demos only, from the editor's export dialog (MP4, WebM, GIF or PDF). Narrated videos download at up to 1080p, and story videos export at up to 1080p, on every plan. On Free, videos, exports and formats are made at 720p.

Free needs no card, and there is no free trial of the paid plans.

You choose your billing country before you pay. In India, paid plans are billed in rupees: ₹2,499, ₹6,499 or ₹16,999 a month, plus 18% GST. Every other country pays the US-dollar price with no tax added.

#Pay yearly and save 20%

Each paid plan can be paid for a year up front at 20% off: $278 a year for Starter, $758 for Studio and $1,910 for Team, which works out at $23, $63 and $159 a month (in India ₹23,990, ₹62,390 or ₹1,63,190 plus GST). You get the same monthly allowance, reset every month of the year.

#What uses an AI recording

Your allowance is counted in AI recordings. The app also calls each one a credit, and the sidebar meter shows them as Recordings this month. One AI recording is used by each of these:

• A new screen recording, or a video you upload. It counts when it's uploaded: when you click Create demo or Generate story video, or save it with Save to Recordings. That one credit also covers the first demo video or story video you make from it.
• Another output from a stored recording. Each further demo video or story video made from a recording that already has one uses one credit, because the analysis, script and voiceover run again. See Recordings library & reuse.
• A story video started from a brief or documents, using Start from anything.
• A translated version. Each language of a demo video, story video or clickable demo uses one credit, because its text, and a video's narration, are redone in that language. Redoing a language uses one more. See Translated versions.

#What doesn't use one

Everything you do with an output after it's made is included:

• Re-rendering, editing the script, changing the voice and regenerating the voiceover
• Cuts, holds, intro, outro and music
• The clickable demo made from a demo video
• All formats: captions, social cuts, highlights, GIFs, thumbnails, help articles and launch posts
• Clickable demos made from screenshots, which are unlimited on every plan
• Views of your shared demos

A recording you discard in the recorder is never uploaded, so it doesn't count. If a further output from a stored recording or a translated version fails to generate, its credit is given back. A story draft deleted before it's generated also gives its credit back. Deleting finished work does not.

#When your allowance resets

Allowances reset every month and unused ones don't roll over.

• Free: at the start of each calendar month.
• Monthly paid plans: at the start of each billing month.
• Yearly paid plans: each month of the year you've paid for.

Your usage and the reset date are on the Home page, in the This month card, and in the meter at the bottom of the sidebar.

#When you reach the limit

When you have one AI recording left, the create wizard says so at the top. When you have none left, it tells you the date new ones become available, and uploads are refused until then. Everything you've already made keeps working and stays shared. To keep creating straight away, click Upgrade and choose a bigger plan.

#Recording length

The recorder shows your plan's limit before you start and a countdown during the last 30 seconds, then stops by itself at the limit. Everything up to that point is kept. See Record your screen.

#Features by plan

Every plan, including Free, includes clickable demos, narrated demo videos, story videos, all formats, AI scripts and voiceover, cuts, intro and outro cards, background music for narrated videos and clickable demos, share links, and embeds of clickable demos. On Free, clickable demos and story video share pages show the TurtleScene badge.

#Change your plan

1. In the sidebar, click Plan & billing.
2. Under Choose a plan (or Change plan if you're already on one), pick Monthly or Yearly · save 20%.
3. Click the button on the plan you want, such as Upgrade to Studio, and complete the payment.

On a plan paid by card, moving to a bigger plan applies straight away and you're charged only the difference for the rest of the period. Moving to a smaller plan, or cancelling, takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for; nothing you've made is deleted. Plans paid by UPI or bank mandate can't switch in place, and switching between monthly and yearly, or changing your billing country, means cancelling and subscribing again. See Billing & invoices.
